Flowers For Thee

Colors fade, flame gets cold
Flowers wither and people grow old
The alluring fragrance that roses possess,
Becomes unpleasant and beauty is now less.
Those sweet words that a lover speaks,
Eventually loses value and will compare to a brick.
Hard and rough, no life at all
It'll seem that there's no lover's arms to call.
Love should compare to a fruit-bearing plant;
Grows into a tree, with fruits that enchant.
Leaves and berries, they won't last very long
They die and perish, go weak from strong
But reincarnated life blooms again to see
That love's been taken care of, waiting for thee

Love at First Sight

I knew from the beginning
Your importance in my life
I thought you were sent to me
I longed to be your wife.

The tests we had to go through
Were excruciating and sad
But the pain we endured these years
Are all part of what we now have.
It must be fate, or destiny
For we shared all storms and fights
From the time we saw each other
It was love at first sight.
We were made for each other
Like night comes with each day
Like the melody made for a song
That flows in harmony with each sway.
Of all the beings that are blessed
We were chosen to know the pleasure
I am grateful for my greatest gift, you..
My reward, my joy, my happiness, my treasure.
I have loved you from the start
Though unknown the word for it so
Try as I might, I cannot love another
It leaves me emptiness and sorrow.
Your eyes, your laugh, your touch, I love
My body responses to every call of your heart
Our lives entwined from the moment we breathed
Share life of roses and thorns and never be apart.

THE GREATEST LESSON ONE CAN LEARN?

The greatest lesson one can learn,
Is how when loved, to love in return.

Joined together through night and day,
Equally yoked in work and play.

Remaining true both body and soul,
Never loosing our common goal.

Sharing each other the best we can,
Before we are but bits of sand.

Mutual love is beyond compare,
Serving one another in the life we share.

Without compassion humans lose,
Simply by the path they choose.

Love is a miracle from God to man,
How some deny it I can’t understand.
